The first few weeks in our new house

I still feel like pinching myself every day when I wake up in our house. We've lived in appartments for our entire 7 years of marriage- so pardon my over excitement.

I meshed together four little video clips of fun times during first couple of weeks here.

The last clip of Ty riding down the stairs was not my idea. When I heard something fall down the stairs I came running in to see if everything was okay. I saw the box at my feet and yelled up the stairs for Tyler to not throw boxes down- but to my suprise Tyler answered from INSIDE the box and then crawled out laughing. He thought it was so fun he finally convinced me to let him do it again and again and wanted me to film it.

"Mom there is a snake behind you" Tyler said. I thought he was joking and then realized he was right. This picture is deceiving, it was just a little tiny snake about the size of a pencil. Andy bravely grabed it and put him back outside. Our neighbors assure us it is not a regular occurance. I see lizards scurry away when I open the door and there are all kinds of weird looking beetles outside too. I'm definately not in Wisconsin anymore.

Your kids are so cute! What a beautiful garden and home. I thought that snake was a big snake, I'm glad it was little. I was scared for you!

Yikes! Tyler gets that lust for thrills from his dad. Andy used to use sleeping bags on our stairs. I want to see a video-tour of your house.

You should have kept the snake and tried to feed it baby mice!
I like the video of Andy flipping the kids around. He is a really fun Dad!

Amanada,
I am glad I found your blog! It looks like you are all doing well. You have a very cute family. =) We live in Texas also. We are up by Dallas, so I think we are about 4 hours apart!

We found a couple of snakes when we lived in WVC. Chris named one of them "Fred." I love imagining that moment when Tyler told you there was a snake there. At least it wasn't a scorpion--a big problem in AZ! It's been so much fun seeing your recent posts and pictures! I can't wait to see your house someday and visit our Texas cousins! XOXOX!!!

Yikes! A snake. I don't know what I would do if that happened to me. I could never pick it up. I love , love the videos. I cannot believe how Tyler is nad funny too. My favorite is his dramatic way of showing his age with his fingers. Hide behind the back and Bam- look at that magic.
